I was born and raised in Decatur, IL.  After graduating from Eisenhower High School, I went on to Eastern Illinois University and received a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics in 1987.  My first teaching job was at Pontiac Township High School.  I taught one year at Pontiac before moving back to the Decatur area to teach at Blue Mound (prior to consolidation).

This is my 30th year of teaching, and I’ve taught everything from 7th & 8th grade math to Trig./Pre-Calculus at some time during those 30 years.  I currently teach Applied Geometry, Algebra 2, and Trig./Pre-Cal.

My husband, Charlie Brown (I’m not kidding), and I live in Argenta with our two dogs — Jeffrey & Luke.  In my spare time I enjoy reading, gardening, baking, taking long walks, working on puzzles, and listening to acoustic singer/songwriter music.
